"Include ME!" Grant Program

Pathways has developed the "Include ME!" Challenge Grant Program. In April 2011 we invited schools within a 50 mile radius of Montville Township to apply for school grants Pathways is offering. A training workshop was done by Melinda Jennis, President of Pathways at the Learning Resource Center in Morris Plains, New Jersey to help schools learn about the grant program, what it entails, and how to apply. All applications were given out in April 2011 and the announcement of the awardees was made in August 2011. The teens in the Leadership L.I.V.E. program funded the grants through their "Include ME!" fundraising events. They selected the following three schools to receive the grants: a) Wayne Hills High School, (Wayne, NJ), Anthony Wayne Middle School (Wayne, NJ) , and Old Farmers Road Elementary School (Long Valley). The grant includes funding, school assemblies, mentor and teacher trainings, 30-40 hours of hands on consultation by Melinda Jennis, and more.
