Pathways' "Include ME!" Annual Events in 2011!
Include Me! “Children with disabilities and children without make up the future of New Jersey and the future of America. And the partnership between them will have started in the classroom.” – Nayna Shah, Lead Mentor, 1/20/10
Pathways' Lead Mentors, a group of student leaders ages 11-18, are on a mission to raise awareness about the need for "authentic" inclusion in communities and schools. Their trademark for 2010 was the yellow t-shirt with the simple phrase, "Include ME!" that is pictured on this page. They made it a goal to share these shirts with people everywhere and sold 2,200 shirts in 2010. Many people wore these shirts at our annual special events in 2010 to signify a brighter and more accepting future for everyone. However, as much as we loved the yellow shirts, we expanded our vision from including just children with disabilities to including all children in 2011.
Pathways kicked off the "Include ME!" events for 2011 with a new logo and t-shirt design that is here to stay.
