Our Program Model
Pathways recognizes that some children need extra help in order to feel included, build self confidence, and develop the skill levels required to lead themselves and achieve their greatest potential. Since 2003, Pathways has been creating and successfully implementing programs in the areas of mentoring, literacy, life skills, team sports, employment readiness, and leadership for kids with varying abilities. The programs are designed to not only provide early intervention, but also to give children in need of extra support a continuum of programs where they can be included with their peers. Pathways offers a "children teaching children" model or mentor based philosophy that focuses on getting children in schools and communities involved in including, teaching, and adding value to other children that may need their help. Communities and schools cannot lead themselves well when children in greatest need are left out. Every child can find their greatest potential if they are given the support and shown how to take these steps. Pathways focuses on teaching communities and schools to tailor their programs and how to provide the steps required to teach children of all ability levels to feel included, lead themselves, and contribute to others.
Pathways has been successful applying these basic concepts during school, after-school, and/or recreational programs. Visit our "Children" and "Mentor" program pages on the navigation menu to the right to get more information about our programs and services.
