Team Sports and Recreation

Athletics, community-based recreational programs, and field trips all play a key role in a child’s development. They teach children to follow rules, take turns, win and lose, develop discipline, work as a team, explore their community, and achieve a sense of camaraderie and belonging. These skills are essential building blocks that prepare children for the real world and the larger realm of society once they graduate from high school and reach adulthood. Programs have been funded by grants from ROID, Autism Speaks, and Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
