Project Win-Win

Pathways is transitioning children with disabilities at the age of 12 into a more advanced program called Project Win-Win that offers more specialized and intensive employment training. The goal is to provide training in job readiness, technology, customer service, and business skills in a broad array of career choices. Children with special needs partner with mentors ages 16 and above who are trained and hired as job coaches. These job coaches and the children with special needs work as teams under the direction of the class instructor and are given actual work projects and site visits. The children’s job coaches accompany them to work sites and provide support as needed.

Program Highlights
The children have been working in various career tracks including dog walking. Below is a photo of two of the dogs the children walk named Bailey and Daisy. Neighbors and friends have volunteered their dogs to the program on Thursday nights for the children to play, feed, and walk with them. A special thank you to all the families who have participated in Montville!
