Pathways for Exceptional Children has shown that providing programs and services for children with disabilities can not only be done cost-effectively, but also can provide far-reaching benefits that will improve the communities in which they live. Pathways has placed a major emphasis on collaborating with communities and public school systems to help build quality programs. Unlike the "Include ME!" program, the goal of the sensitivity trainings is building awareness and assisting people to get inclusive programs started in more incremental steps. The sensitivity trainings are designed to educate and improve acceptance and awareness. However, they alone cannot produce the cultural change that the "Include ME!" program is designed to bring about.
